Welcome to New Brighton Care Center, where our basic philosophy is treating our residents like our own parents or grandparents. Nestled conveniently across from City Hall, our facility has been a cornerstone of the community since 1964. Built by the Chies family, the care center was first managed by Blanche Chies, who dedicated a decade to ensuring the highest standards of care before her nephew Michael took over in 1974. Then, Blanche became a cherished resident herself, embodying our commitment to family and continuity
Experience matters when choosing a care center home for a loved one, and that's why families continue to trust New Brighton Care Center. As one of the last independently operated facilities in the state, we take pride in our rich history and personalized approach to care. Our privately owned and non-denominational facility offers a safe and clean envrionment with riadiant heating, air conditioning, and a constant air exchange system. All rooms are on one floor at ground level and can accommodate 57 residents.
We maintain hospital-clean standards and are licensed by the Minnesota State Board of Health. Our professional nursing staff is on duty 24 hours daily, providing adequate first aid and emergency oxygen services. We also offer special diet food preparation to meet the unique needs of our residents. Our legacy of compassion and excellence makes us a trusted choice for those seeking a nurturing and supportive environment for their loved ones.

Spiritual & Community Service

At our facility, we are deeply committed to supporting the spiritual needs of our residents. We are fortunate to have a volunteer from St John’s the Baptist who visits once a week to offer communion to our Catholic residents. She also prays with and for them, leaving a bulletin for them to read. Our local priests are incredibly responsive, always ready to offer prayers or the anointing of the sick sacrament, usually within an hour of our call. We also hold mass every few months, typically on Wednesdays, depending on the priests’ schedules.
In addition to our weekly Catholic services, we have two churches that visit us on Sundays. New Brighton Christian Church comes on the 3rd Sunday of each month, and Blessed Hope Baptist Church visits on the 1st and 4th Sundays. These services are filled with uplifting songs, often accompanied by our new piano and messages based on Bible verses. After the service, the church members stay for fellowship and prayer with our residents, fostering a strong sense of community.
